Honestly, I didn’t plan to watch Hakkenden: Touhou Hakken Ibun and to write about it. But then I still decided to give the first episode a chance and now I’m happy about it:
First of all, the show is notable for its dark mystical atmosphere that captivates you from the very first minutes of the show. Secondly, there is a magnificent blend of Eastern and Western religions and mythologies.
Church on the edge of the mysterious forest where the main characters live.
Fox spirits.
Ravens that appear out of hand.
Demons.
And the blue lights.
Ain’t it great? I recommend the show to all fans of mystery and appropriate atmosphere.
